European Scientology Communities Promote Civic Responsibility

Scientologists and their churches and missions across the European continent are continuing a wide range of community-based social betterment initiatives connected to human rights education, eu newsroom drug prevention and volunteer action. As reported in Scientology Communities Across Europe Highlight Civic Responsibility and EU Values, these activities include public awareness work on the dangers of drugs, programmes promoting understanding of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and community ethics activities inspired by The Way to Happiness. Together, these programmes reflect a practical contribution to European civic life.

The article also highlights the Church’s Europe’s Values, Your Rights campaign, which presents EU values and fundamental rights in plain language, including human dignity, freedom, equality, democracy, the rule of law and human rights. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said that community action helps make European principles visible in everyday life.
